Remuneration Information Currency Exchange (RICE)

The Price is Rice Rules

The Price is Rice is a game modeled after Hit American Television Show “The Price is Rice”, where contestants are to guess the units of publicly available rice needed to barter for set-priced goods or services.

1. There is a rice master. The rice master is responsible for determining the size (lbs), brand, and type (long grain jasmine) of rice. The rice master may notify contestants only of the size of bag and type. Once a type of rice has been selected, it is to not be changed during the course of the game nor is the price of the bag to be disclosed until the conclusion of the game.

2. The game is comprised of rounds. During each round, an image of a product will be presented to contestants. Contestants are to guess how many bags of rice (as selected by the rice master) are needed to purchase the presented product. Contestants that guess more bags than needed are disqualified from the round. When converting the price of the product to the number of bags, all fractions are to be rounded down. The person that guesses the highest number closest to the number of bags of rice wins the round. Upon completion of the round, the rice master is to announce the number of bags of rice needed to purchase the product. The rice master is not to announce the price of the product in any currency other than rice.

3. Contestants may not look up the value of products presented during the rounds.
